Forward

We've started a brand new series through the book of Acts entitled "Forward".  You see, God wants your life to be always moving forward.  Forward in steps of faith, filled with His Spirit, doing the work of ministry.  Forward in worship & communion with Him, watching your relationship with Him get deeper.  Forward in growing in the grace & knowledge of Jesus Christ.  Forward in sharing the good news of Jesus with others.  The book of Acts shows us what forward motion looks like in the life of the believer.  

As you evaluate your life right now, are you moving forward?  Or has your life kind of stalled out, dried up, or even worse shrunk back?  God stand ready to give fresh starts and overflow your life with His Spirit.

Let me give you a few practical areas to have the Holy Spirit check you in regarding that forward motion:

- Your walk with God: (your reading of His word, prayer, fellowship, communion)

- Your work for God: (what you do day in and day out, ministry aspects & serving opportunities)

- Your worship of God: (that heart that longs for Him more and more, the time spent just singing His praises)

- Your witness of God: (who I'm sharing Jesus with & praying for an open door, how often is that happening in my life - from the friend, to the stranger ont he street)

- Your marriage (if applicable): (the communication, the conflict resolution, the friendship, etc.)

- Your family: (relationship with kids, in-laws, parents, etc.)

- Your neighbors: (how am I serving them, loving them, showing them Jesus?)

These are just some things to take before the Lord and ask the Holy Spirit to show you what forward motion looks like in that area for you.
